Puez National Park

Hiking through the Puez National Park is like visiting an architecture exhibition. The landscape shows an incredible variety of shapes. Most importantly you will see the bizzarre rock formations, alone standing pinnacles, big and green meadows and the beautiful Crespeina Lake that has inspired many legends in the local culture.
The highest peak we will reach, will be the Crespeina Pass (2528 m.) and after that the path will become narrow and exposed at times. We will be hiking along ridges of sheer drops and will be seeing the Val Lunga that ends in the close Val Gardena.
Lunch will be at the Rifugio Puez, a lonely retreat operating during summer months only.
This is quite a long hike and suitable for guests with a certain level of fitness. The return will take us through the Edelweiss-valley over Colfosco or Gardenaccia towards La Villa. The choice always depends on the weather and participants.
The Puez National Park walk is determined by long, steep ascents and descents and is suitable for experienced hikers only.
