Home from an expedition to the Himalayas, Franz Kostner was the first one to recognize the tourism potential in Val Badia valley. In 1908 he acquired Posta and in the 1930s he built the first chair lift of Italy, Col Alt. Ever since then, the Kostner family has been devoted with great passion to the growth of the territory and the preservation of its cultural traditions.
